Whether you're managing a treasury wallet, making sure your rewards contract doesn’t fall below a certain amount, monitoring liquidity pools, or just keeping track of your crypto portfolio, Dispatch now makes it easier than ever to track the assets that matter most to you — across multiple chains, in real-time. For versatility, you can either log on-chain asset activity to Dispatch, or get alerts delivered straight to your Discord, Telegram, email, or webhook.
Until now, Dispatch provided a set of “system contracts” — contracts you could choose from a dropdown to track activity of team-selected contracts. While this made it easier and faster to track popular, established assets, we heard a recurring question: "Can I monitor token X?"
Today’s update changes that. Now you can easily monitor balance activity for any token on Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Optimism, or Arbitrum networks. Whether you want to know when your balance of the token for a hot new project goes above or below a certain amount, or keep an eye on inflows and outflows from other wallets and smart contracts, you’ll get real-time updates delivered exactly where you need them, and as usual, you won’t need to write any code.
Dispatch provides crucial details like balance change amounts and timestamps, and links to transactions on block explorers so you can easily explore further.
Balance monitoring has always been a critical but time-consuming task. For teams running protocols, managing treasuries, or tracking crypto portfolios, staying on top of balance changes helps you make better decisions and react faster to market shifts. Our latest update makes it easier to focus on what matters — using the data – rather than spending time collecting it.
Here are a few ways it could come in handy.
If you're the token creator or part of the project team, staying on top of your token's activity is important. From tracking treasury balances to monitoring token distribution wallets, you'll know exactly when significant changes happen so that you can act fast.
Monitor token balance activity in lending pools, watch stablecoin holdings in protocol-owned wallets, or track reward token distributions. Want to know when the balance of a new asset in a staking contract or treasury wallet drops below a certain threshold? Set up balance monitoring for specific addresses you care about and get alerted when important shifts happen.
For individual traders and investors, catching early signs of activity is everything. Set alerts for balance changes in wallets holding memecoins, social tokens, or any asset you’re keeping an eye on. It’s a powerful way to spot trends and make informed moves.
These are just a few examples, but the flexibility of this feature means you can tailor it to any use case. Put it to work for your project, protocol tracking, or personal trading strategies — Dispatch helps you stay on top of things.
Dispatch can track any event and function beyond token balances — from DeFi operations to DAO activity.
Let’s see how to monitor a wallet or contract for balance activity of a new token with a step-by-step guide.
For this example, we want to monitor Rollbit’s Hot Wallet for any changes to the balance of the Rollbit Coin ($RLB). After that, we’ll show you how to get alerts whenever the balance of Rollbit Coin in the wallet goes above or below a certain amount.
At the end of this guide, you will have learned how to create and add Esprezzo’s Dispatch Discord Bot to a Discord server channel. The bot will let you know when…
Rollbit Coin ($RLB) is the native token of Rollbit, a popular crypto casino and sports betting platform. With its growing ecosystem and active trading volume, it's a perfect example of how you can use Dispatch to track wallet and smart contract balance changes for newer assets. And because Dispatch supports multiple EVM chains, you can create your data feeds all from one place. This is not an endorsement or financial advice; you should always do your own research.
If you’re following along, you’ll need a Dispatch account. Don’t have one yet? Signing up is free and fast.
If you’re more of a visual learner, we’ve created a video tutorial to guide you through the process of balance monitoring with Dispatch.
To monitor token balance changes and threshold crossings for any contract or wallet, we’ll be using Dispatch to create what’s called a “Patch”. Patches are data streams for on-chain activity where you set up triggers for on-chain activity, and when the activity you’re interested in happens, Dispatch delivers the activity details to you.
Working with an unverified token contract? No problem. You'll just need the contract's ABI to set up monitoring. Check out our Help Center on tracking unverified contracts for guidance.
Need to track token activity across multiple wallets and contracts? You can monitor multiple addresses in one Patch by pressing the "+" button.
Discord permissions can be finicky. When trying to post to a channel make sure you have the right permissions for the Discord server and channel.

What if you need to know when the balance of a particular token falls below a certain amount, or goes above a certain threshold? Monitoring token balances ensures you'll always know when assets hit critical levels, essential for treasury management, liquidity tracking, and wallet updates. By setting up threshold alerts, you can skip the manual checking and get notified exactly when you need to.
Let’s see how to get alerts when the balance of a token in a contract or wallet goes above or below a certain threshold amount.
If you didn’t close Dispatch after you created the previous Patch, click the ‘Create another Patch’ button in the Patch created success modal. If not, no worries — go to Patch Builder by clicking the “Create” button in the navbar from anywhere in Dispatch.
Next we'll tell Dispatch the address we want it to monitor, the token we want it to track, the critical threshold amount, and specify if the balance alerts should trigger when going above and/or below that threshold amount.
Under Action type, pick how you’d like to receive alerts: Discord, Telegram, Email, webhook, or Dispatch Monitor. We’re going to select Telegram this time.
Decide on the Action event:
This time, we'll choose a direct message; with this option, you'll get a private Telegram message whenever the balance of $RLB in the Rollbit Hot Wallet goes below 36,000,000.
This concludes the step-by-step balance monitoring guide.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on this new feature. Share your feedback, questions, or ideas for improvement — we're all ears.
With every update, we’re making Dispatch more versatile and powerful for all your Web3 monitoring needs. While the guide above focused on real-time Discord and Telegram alerts, Dispatch webhooks make it easy to use on-chain data to power data visualizations or as triggers for automated workflows in other apps. You can even use Dispatch with Zapier, to power automations in the huge ecosystem of apps Zapier supports (Google Sheets and Notion are a few examples).
Whether you're managing a DeFi protocol, running a DAO, or building dashboards and DApps powered by on-chain activity, we're here to help you save time and stay ahead of the game. We’re working on some exciting new developments, and look forward to sharing them with you.
